Simbly #4 | Black Letters' 'Autumn Hue'
An Unchanging Hue
'Autumn Hue', in my opinion, is a "wind down on a Sunday afternoon' kinda track. It's vibey, laidback, and pretty much carried by a sonic wall of reverbed guitars and largely unchanging bass and drum parts. And that's pretty much where you're left the entire song. Aside from a very thinly mixed vocal and the breakdown at the end, there's not much momentum or variety to it. Then again, maybe that's the point (note to self: learn to sit with it!)?
Either way, this song is a M O O D, and I fully see myself contemplating life to it at some point. A [7.42/10] for me!
