Simbly#6 | Euphony's 'Muraad'
Muraad Managed!
Muraad is a fun song, and no I don't mean that sarcastically. You've got a lot going on - piano, drums, guitars, a flute, and even beatboxing (unexpected and very welcome) - but everything blends together to give you this upbeat rock tune that just sticks! My favourite thing about this track has to be the many groove variations. There are plenty of rhythmic changes and fills throughout, and a lovely switch to a 15/8 time signature in the pre-chorus that got me hooked instantly. Not to mention the beatboxed percussion makes for some unique ad libs and rhythmic fillers.
The guitar solo-driven breakdown was another highlight, the overall performance being absolutely in the pocket. Frankly, there's enough of everything for everyone here, whether you're a vocalist, bassist, drummer, beatboxer or even a casual listener. The only thing I'd change about 'Muraad' is the beatboxing. It would have been really cool to see a fully beatboxed groove supporting the other instruments. But hey, that's just my wishful thinking. I rate this an [8.38/10]!
